Background and training:

Theresa completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Tasmania. She trained at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne before returning to Hobart with her young family to complete her Advanced training in Community Paediatrics at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

In her practice she sees children with a range of developmental concerns, schooling and learning issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. The initial assessment, coordination of services with allied health therapists, linkage with schools and on-going follow up of the child is part of her role as a Community Paediatrician.

Theresa has a strong commitment to child-centred practice and a practical and collaborative approach in her work. She aims to facilitate communication within families, informed decision-making and working together with other medical and allied health professionals to support children.
