Dr Lara Phillips is a general and community child health paediatrician with fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Lara hails from North Queensland and began her paediatric training at the Townsville University Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital where she completed a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Lara moved to Tasmania a number of years ago and fell in love with the community, natural environment and lifestyle. Lara completed her paediatric training at the Royal Hobart Hospital and Launceston General Hospital in August 2019.
Lara now works at Archer Street Health and at the Royal Hobart Hospital as a Visiting Medical Officer in Paediatric Outpatient clinics. Her areas of interest include general paediatrics, developmental and behaviour paediatrics including neurodevelopmental assessments such as for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Lara enjoys working with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes for her patients and families
