Background and training:

Theresa completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Tasmania. She trained at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne before returning to Hobart with her young family to complete her Advanced training in Community Paediatrics at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

In addition to her clinical practice, Theresa has a keen interest in medical education,evidence-based medicine and health literacy. In addition to her clinical work she is currently undertaking a PhD in child and adolescent mental health via the Universityof Tasmania and Menzies Institute for Medical Research.

Theresa has astrong commitment to child-centred practice and a practical and collaborative approach in her work. She aims to facilitate communication within families, informed decision-making and working together with other medical and allied health professionals to support children.
